‘Big Four’ Consulting Firms Dominate Blockchain Jobs Market, Says Indeed

Microsoft and ethereum development studio ConsenSys also made it to the top 10, based on Really’s data, in tenth and eighth place, respectively.
While its chairman and president, Jamie Dimon, is famously suspicious of bitcoin, his company is actively preparing for a long run in which blockchain is a key portion of financial infrastructure and notably revealed its own in-house cryptocurrency at February.

“Big Four” professional consulting companies Deloitte, KPMG and EY are all in the top five when it comes to submitting blockchain job advertisements, based on new data from Indeed.com.
The consulting giant has said:”We imagine that [Deloitte’s] ever-evolving and nimble team will build on our past success in assisting our clients, which includes 92% of the financial support companies listed on the Fortune 500 list, to hone their blockchain-backed offerings,” he explained.

Back in November, the following Indeed.com statistics report revealed that the amount of blockchain project postings increased by 25.49 percentage from October 2017 on October 2018.

The employment website released its hottest statistics for job postings regarding blockchain, cryptocurrency along with bitcoin from the U.S. on Thursday, with the data covering the period from February 2018 on February 2019.
San Jose, San Francisco and New York will be the cities with the most blockchain postings,” Really’s most current report concludes.
Flowers further said the last year marks the first time there have been job postings than searches — probably due to the decline in crypto costs, as Indeed has suggested. The data indicates that searches percent on its website for roles between blockchain, cryptocurrency along with bitcoin decreased by 67% during the period, whereas the share of labor postings percent increased by 90 percent.
No other Wall Street institutions made Really’s top 10.
Topping the table has been Deloitte, with IBM and KPMG at second and third place, respectively. EY and Accenture (another major consulting firm) came fifth and fourth, too respectively.
Deloitte’s top placing is maybe not surprising, since the firm has been very busy from the blockchain area, engaging in trials, creating products and offering services round the tech.

Indeed.com’s data also demonstrates that of all the financial companies, JPMorgan has placed the most advertisements for blockchain personnel during the past calendar year.

Discussing the data, Indeed.com economist Andrew Flowers informed Forbes that it’s”notable that there’s a lack of banking and financial companies hiring for something which’s designed to substitute money.”
